The 40 EDID banks

Five tables of eight. The LED colour tells you which table the rotary control is in; the number tells you which bank inside it.

Blue is printed on the bottom of the unit, the four UHD tables on the top. Green, yellow and red carry the same eight video modes — only the advertised audio capability differs. Start with green and step down to yellow or red if the chain drops audio.

Blue — FHD tables

Printed on the bottom side of the unit. Eight factory presets for 1080p, 1080i, 720p and 480p, updatable by firmware.

Green — UHD, full audio

Printed on the top of the unit. The same eight UHD video modes as yellow and red, advertising the complete audio capability including Atmos and DTS:X.

Yellow — UHD, SPDIF limit

Printed on the top of the unit. Caps the advertised audio at what an SPDIF return or older AVR can carry.

White — custom and copied

Printed on the top of the unit. Banks 1–7 are yours to overwrite with the Windows utility; bank 8 always holds the EDID copied from the connected display.
